Laura Keenan

Laura is a Federal Account Manager at LinkedIn. Before joining LinkedIn, she worked at the White House, Facebook, and the United States Army during her civilian career. Laura served over 11 years on active duty before transitioning to the District of Columbia Army National Guard, where she holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
During her tenure on active duty, Laura served as a Human Resources Officer and a Congressional Fellow. Notably, she served as the aide-de-camp to Major General Gina Farrisee at the Soldier Support Institute. Laura deployed to Kirkuk, Iraq for over 15 months with the 1st Infantry Division. She was awarded the Bronze Star and recognized as the Human Resources Officer of the Year for the United States Army during her deployment.
After returning from Iraq, Laura served as an Army Congressional Fellow and military advisor to Senator Kay Hagan of North Carolina, who sat on the Senate Armed Services Committee. After leaving the Senate, Laura returned to the Pentagon, serving in the Office of Congressional Legislative Liaison executing legislative strategies encompassing critical Army priorities. Laura's last assignment on active duty was as the Legislative Advisor and Aide-de-Camp to the Under Secretary of the Army and the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel. During her four years at the Pentagon, Laura also served an additional duty as the most senior Military Social Aide to President Barack Obama.
Laura holds a B.S. from the United States Military Academy, an MBA from the University of South Carolina, a MPS in Legislative Affairs from The George Washington University, and is a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and Staff College. She is currently enrolled in the National War College, studying national security with a concentration in weapons of mass destruction.
